Spring-spiration.

It seems I have caught a touch of spring fever; despite the fact we are in winter... I have pictured here some images which capture my idea and the essence I have of spring time. Turkish delight, pastel coloured roses, floral prints, Zoe Elizabeth's amazing bikini range and other bits and pieces. These pictures are so fresh and vibrant they bring a smile to my face whilst I can't feel my toes in the arctic conditions I am undergoing. I hope you all have a great holiday and I apologise for my lack of posts but I am a teenager and you cannot blame me. No really. You actually can't.

Make love; not war,

Tis' the Season to fill up your Trolley.

Helllooo!
I've missed you all so much.
But I don't really know if you are missing me, because no one could be reading this. It could just be me writing to myself. How awkward.

Anyway moving on, We are in winter! Can you feel the excitement? Those magical moments when you can't feel your feet, or when you have just had your hair done and that magnificent rain pours down, when you can't even get up in the morning because your freezing to death. Isn't it fabulous?
The answer to your question is yes, I was using a touch of sarcasm there but that is not the point. The point I am going to address is the fact that you all may be asking; what is winter good for? I answer with Fashion and Beauty. Not in the literal sense of course, I'm not saying that in winter you will undeniably become more fashionable and beautiful, however if that is your dream, so be it. This winter, you will only need 5 additional things.
2. The Fur - Chanel (naturally) has caught my eye.
Fur is so big this season (preferrabl faux)

1. The Lip Balm - Baby Lips by Maybelline

3. The Socks - Chunky knitted/woollen are on my must have list

4. The Hair Saviour - this baby will save your
butt this winter. This moroccan oil makes your hair
soft and bright and kills the frizz, so you can avoid the
dull hair that winter usually provides us with.

5. The Pants - There is nothing like the pop of
colour in coloured pants to create a 'wow' outift.

You're all probably wondering "where's the boots? scarves? beanies? lipstick?" I have already talked about these things guys, I have just listed today 5 new things that are must haves for a winter in 2011.
I'm back at school after a much enjoyed holiday in my bed, the jump from breakfast in bed to physics is one I never want to take again. Physics. Must. Die

I apologise for my lack of posts, I've been rather busy (or lazy) and I've been to lots of places (the fridge). I hope to make a post tomorrow of an outfit, so you can see that I am in fact still a person.

Have a fabby night,

Marcella

If I Were Peachy, Would You Be Keen?

Guten Arbend as the Germans say, (good evening), lovely people the Germans.
I can imagine you'd be wondering what has brought that German theme on, I had salami for lunch and that is somewhat German hence the beginning of the post.

Yeah yeah I'll shut up and get on with the post now, thanks guys.
I was in the city yesterday looking at brands with Mum and it was rather chilly so I pondered over what I would wear. I came up with something obviously other wise I'd be strutting 'round in my birthday suit; which I know would please you all, however I would be stopping traffic (literally I have no road sense).

Django and Matilda Boots, Winter Kate Skirt,
Alessandra Scarf, Velvet Top, Decjuba Knit, Myer Pendant.

Please, do not even comment on my face, Mum; an 'amateur' photographer (emphasis on 'amateur') managed to take the most charming images of me. Really, I especially love the one on the right that makes me look like a startled earwig. The labels were so good, we viewed Lee Matthews, Zoe Elizabeth, Briony Marsh, Tilly and some others. They were so amazing, especially Lee Mathews, she designs so wonderfully that you can wear her pieces casually or formally. I loved the whole day but I now know why Mum gets so tired because it is so exhausting going through racks and racks of clothes, then working out sizes and prices and how many you need etc. etc.

My Mum is a superwoman.

I chose this outfit today because I didn't want to wear all black so I chose Peach, which I am seriously rating at the moment. I have put together a little peach mood collage for you all, just to show you how much I love you.

Hope you enjoyed it, I can't say I'm an esteemed Collage-Person-Maker-Thingo but I tried,I think the images portrayed the style of "peach"well.

Do Svidaniya,

Marcella

Yes, I know, this post has become multi-cultural but I really want one of those Russian fur hats.

So by saying goodbye to you all in Russian, I'm going to magically get a hat from there.

Yes Marcella,

That makes perfect sense....

Hold Me Closer Tiny Camper.

Yes well unfortunately Elton John didn't actually come on my camp so no one was holding me.
Yes, I am back. In black. Literally I am so dirty from camp.
I have twigs in my hair, cuts all over my legs, dirty nails, i smell, my hair is so gross and i have blisters.
Other than that I am just dandy.
Yes there was a touch of sarcasm in my voice.
The only good thing was the fact that there was a really cute dutch camp leader, and I got to try and invent some camp fashion to report back to you guys.

5 Camp Must Haves:

Flannelette Shirts... Lots of them

Cargo Shorts or Pants

Colourful Socks

Cute Bandana or Headbands and Retro Sunnies
Hiking Boots

There you have it. I thought you'd all be very proud that even though i was in the middle of nowhere, I still managed to try and be fashionable in a place with no mirrors, clocks or electricity.
I swear i had entered my worst nightmare.

It was alright though because the camp was focusing on how appearance doesn't matter that much, however it wasn't that successful because we were constantly trying to see how we looked in windows, the bottom of buckets, sunglasses etc. etc.
It was nice of them to try though....
Anyway, i am going to nip off and watch some movies.
Have a pleasant afternoon,

Muchoss Grassy Arse Ameegos,

I See Red.

I'm being serious. It's like an epidemic. Red is all around us.
The colour 'red' has taken over the fashion world. It is such an easy colour to incorporate into an outfit.
It's like a topping, if we are talking about it in the icecream sense. A dash of topping makes the icecream look and taste better.

And if you have deduced from my metaphor that you should go and taste all red clothing in sight; you are mad. I just mean that red can give a bit of "umph" and "je ne sais quoi" to your outfit and completes it.

For Example:

This girl is stunning, but without the red coat,
her outfit would look very plain. The red
makes her stand out and makes a
statement; therefore completing the outfit.
This girl has done a great job of tying red into
her outfit. You can see what a difference
it makes, it gives a certain zest
and brightness to her look;
keeping it fresh.

Now, are you prepared? Tomorrow is my birthday but today was my birthday party. We organised to see 'Little Red Riding Hood' (can you see it all coming together?). My outfit was related to that and this post so here we go.

Vintage Dress, Forever New Bag, Funkis Clogs, Razzamatazz Thigh Highs, Alessandra Jacket, Trelise Cooper Necklace.

So there you go. Loved this outfit, thought very vintage/retro. The movie was good but very difficult to follow. We couldn't seem to figure out who the wolf was which resulted in screeches of confusion and various hand gestures being given to the screen.

All in all a good movie.

Hope you all have a lovely break; i am on camp for the next week and then holidays!
I'll be back before you know it, so take this time to relax and prepare yourself for the next post that will blow your hats away. Literally, there is supposed to be gale force winds when i get back.

See you later aligator,

To Ballerine or not to Ballerine; that is the question.

To Ballerine, no doubt about it.
If you've been living under a rock for the past few months like me, you will find that Ballet is taking over the world. No, i don't mean there are people breaking into Ballet Dancing in the middle of the street; as much as id like to see that. I am talking about Ballet's latest influence on fashion. It's major people! Take a look at this.

So there you have it. Isn't it beautiful. The delicate, refined, flowing tutu's, the pinky, peachy, neutral shades. The Marc Jacobs flats that might kill me if i don't get them, the chunky legwarmers and oversized coats. Ballet inspired shoes and dresses with fitted bodice and a flowing skirt. The overall elegance of the look is simply mesmerising. It's Ballet Chic ladies and Gents! So i suggest you go out, get yourself a tutu or some tuelle, go buy anything you can find in peach/ pink/grey/light browns, buy a heap of ballet flats, purchase yourself some funky chunky knits and invest in some legwarmers. Sounds like a lot, but think how amazingly fashionable you will look afterwards!

But with me, the cost trumps whatever i will get from the beautiful clothes.
I'm a confessed shopaholic, i have to try and bank my money before i spend it, and if that fails i have to hide my wallet in an inconspicuous place so i have no chance of finding it if a spending spree oppurtunity arises.

I'm a potential threat to myself.
It doesn't mean i can't still look at clothes, and write about them, and dream about them, and maybe sometimes perhaps on the occasional point in random time i could buy something.

Just one, fluffy, elegant, gorgeous Tutu mum.
I would wear it all the time.

Do you want me to suffer just by lacking one key garment for winter.
Could you be so cruel?

Gah! There is no use. She knows my filthy ways.
Anyway, i hope you guys have a great, rainy Thursday night.
I know i am.

Over and Out,

Marcella
